Colour Palettes for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
Although a fusion of popping colours is eye-catching, nothing describes dreamy like a soft and subtle wedding colour palette of neutrals. Timeless and soothing tones of ivory, white, and beige can fit the mold of every type of wedding style. When planning it outdoors, think about roses and soft greenery for an elegant and sophisticated winter affair.
A neutral wedding colour palette does not mean that you have a limited colour range you can select different colour combinations such as light pink and airy blush to incorporate into your wedding, just like the lovely bride in this board!
When it comes to selecting your colour palette, remember that darker shades present a more refined and modern look, whereas if you want to keep the mood playful and romantic then you should opt for the lighter tones.
Wedding Invitations for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
As a winter bride like we see here, you want your wedding invitations to reflect the season as well as to match your wedding theme. If you choose to embrace the gorgeous winter season wholly, then it's best to go for a plain white card coupled with swathes of gilded calligraphy, sleek edges, and a delicate gold ribbon to let your guests know that you are officially tying the knot!
If you want the winter mood to reflect in your wedding invites then it is recommended to choose black hues mixed with tea pink florals and pale leafy foliage. The frosty-hued shades are the perfect picks for the chilly season!
Bouquets and Boutonnieres for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
No matter what time of the year you are getting hitched, carrying a gorgeous bunch of flowers is a must! When choosing a seasonal flower arrangement, start with the colours that radiate the season's vibes. For the colder months, combine crisp emerald green, snowy white, and pastel hues. A red ranunculus boutonniere is a perfect way to complement pastel shades and add a winter touch.
The bride in this wedding shoot has mixed lovely shades of white, green, and violet blooms to create the season-perfect wedding bouquet. It is always great to add texture and use seasonal flowers, but you can also incorporate deep shades of burgundy and crimson to add a wintery touch to your soft-hued wedding bouquet.
Wedding Cake for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
One of the most amazing things about getting married during the winter season is that there is a huge variety of fun to add to your wedding cake. For example, there is nothing more festive than a white, winter wedding cake. If you wish to add a few personal touches to this delicious sweet treat, just like our bride here, then go for a cake decoration that matches your wedding dress!
A tall, three-tiered wedding cake looks extremely sophisticated and elegant just like your dreamy winter wedding! Incorporate accents of gold and blue frost with some fresh, white roses perched above the top tier.
Outdoor Wedding Ideas for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
If you are planning an outdoor winter affair, we recommend incorporating earthy tones into your chosen wedding venue. A cool combination of sage green, subdued gray, and terracotta is perfect for making your venue look elegantly festive. This couple chose a barn venue and minimal decorations for a cozy, beautiful winter wedding.
Keeping your guests comfortable and warm in an outdoor venue should be your utmost priority and this is why you should install space heaters in the entire area. Make sure to separate your dining space and install a glass roof over it or simply choose a greenhouse for a warm and relaxing atmosphere. A winter outdoor wedding looks extra graceful when you add lots of candles and fairy lights to the venue.
Favours and Gifts for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
Wedding favours and gifts are given to express your immense gratitude and appreciation toward the people who are a part of your wedding. And there is no better way to say thank you than with chocolates as gift options. For winter weddings, assorted chocolates make for a delicious treat as they are a true representation of festivity and celebration.
You can grab a bar of chocolate or mix the many kinds and wrap it in a white box with a gold ribbon to finish the look. If you want to make it more personal, go for a thank you note and attach it to your gift box to make the guests feel extra special!

Everybody loves a blushing bride and one wearing a beautiful blush-coloured gown will definitely turn heads! Have you ever seen a wedding gown that looks super scrumptious? Well, this bride is carrying a floor-length, glorious floral tulle gown that looks so chic. The sweetheart neckline, frost blue studs, and a simple gold chain around the neck complete the angelic look!
The silver and gold pumps are the perfect accessory to complement this winter-bride look. A snow queen never forgets to wear her tiara and so our bride has chosen an intricately-crafted, thin, floral tiara as a fine finishing touch to her side bun!
Groom Style for a Pink Wedding Dress Theme
Taking full advantage of the dark shades of the winter season, the groom in this wedding inspiration board has chosen a classic black formal suit paired with jet black formal shoes. To add a touch to the snow-filled season, he has chosen a white pine cone boutonniere. This lovely couple's wedding attires are beautifully complementing each other and are setting the right mood for the joyful event.
When in doubt, go for a solid colour tie! This groom's selection of a black tie is perfect not only for the event but also for the neutral colour palette to create an epic contrast of light and dark. You’ll see there is a closeup of a fun bowtie which is an excellent option too.
If you don't want to go for dark colours then an additional white tuxedo will also look super good. For non-conventional and trendy fashion wear, go for deep tones of emerald green paired with a white dress shirt and brown shoes.
Stylized bridal portraits with a pink dress and matching cake
BRIDALS, PINK
Today’s darling and sweet bridal session inspiration shoot from Jessica Maida Photography just couldn’t be more perfect for this week’s Valentine’s Day Extravaganza! The way the cake detailing mimics the pink wedding dress is genius and the snowy ground and adoring groom all add a sense of cosy romance to this amazing inspiration shoot.
From Jessica Maida Photography – “This shoot was born out of the collaborative effort of many Blush on Berry wedding vendors with the interest in a bridal session with a fun twist. Blush on Berry is a unique bridal boutique and collective in the heart of Richmond, VA and vendors will routinely come together for inspiration and stylized shoots. Richmond itself is known for its rich landmarks and history and it was a merging of this group and the Historic Tredegar Museum that brought this stylized shoot to life.
The pink rosette sweetheart gown was a creation by Laurianda Jenkins of Laurianda Clothing Co and lead our colour scheme into the soft tones of winter rather than the harsh, strong accents. The pastel feel helped to soften the winter chills and also serve as a lead in to the onset of spring. The mint sideboard table, by eclectic rental company Paisley & Jade, is a top favourite amongst couples and it was wonderful to provide an example of how such a piece can be used. It easily became out center piece further inspiring accent color and architectural elements in the cake and florals.
The cake drew inspiration from our colour scheme and soft, romantic concept with cake designer Amanda Robinson of Sweet Fix crafting her own silicon ornate frame and a matching rosette bottom of our dress. Florals by Jen Whitt of the Picked Petal were tied in gorgeous blooms of hyacinth, Silverstein roses, heather, Limonium, mini ornamental cabbage and white feathers create the pale, winter feel and look but keep with the soft undertones of the scene.
Makeup was provided by Aaron Ellerbrock of BRIDEface Richmond and hair by Kelly Hopkins of 1213 Hair Studio. Both worked together for a sophisticated, soft and natural look that highlighted our bride’s features and eyes, but gave her a natural and soft feel.
Other looks that were created for our couple were the rustic ladder/chandelier and the ornamental/vintage armchair. Stationary with gold accents and trim revealed the elegance of our couple. Accessories were also provided by Pleiades Bridal Design, DSW, Etsy and our behind the scenes cinematographer was Cate of Violet Iris Studios. The suit was by Ben Sherman and cufflinks by My Precious Studio, and the bow tie was donated by our very own makeup artist Aaron.
Our wonderful bride was Kelly Harrison of Le Lapin de Marriage (The Wedding Rabbit) and Tom Oristian was our groom.”
