Best Landscape Photographers in Albuquerque
Nicknamed the “Land of Enchantment”, New Mexico has so much to offer landscape photographers. Surrounding Albuquerque you’ll find richly colored mountains, broad rivers, and spectacular white deserts, as well as abundant wildlife that ranges from porcupines to roadrunners.
It’s no wonder the following 10 landscape photographers find their inspiration here and share their love of the natural realm with the wider world.
Dylan McMains
While Dylan McMains is currently pursuing a degree in astrophysics, we think that his photography skills are exceptional! He has been pursuing his interest in the craft since 2014 and is predominantly focused on landscape and nature photography. His inspiration? The magnificent American Southwest that lies on his doorstep in Albuquerque, New Mexico. When he’s not traveling around the region capturing its “glorious skies”, he’s busy passing on his knowledge to aspiring photographers during tutorials and workshops.

Mark Schumann
In 2014, Mark Schumann and his wife made the move from Florida to New Mexico where they could indulge their passion for hiking on a regular basis. He originally worked as a photographer for a local newspaper and later worked in advertising and marketing before opening his own portrait studio. Today, Mark’s work focuses on real estate and architectural photography but he has a strong passion for creating landscape and wildlife imagery. In addition, Mark offers photo tours throughout northern New Mexico.
Roberto Rosales Photography
Aside from running his own photography business, Roberto Rosales also works as a staff photographer for the “Albuquerque Journal”, which is New Mexico's largest newspaper. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art and a master's in art education, with his inspiring portfolio reflecting his professional training. While we are particularly enchanted by his landscape imagery, much of Roberto’s work focuses on breaking news and immigration issues in southern New Mexico.
Wayne Suggs Photography
Wayne Suggs has been photographing landscapes for more than 40 years and regularly has his work featured in national publications. He has won numerous awards along the way, including the 14th Annual “New Mexico Magazine” Photographer of the Year award, and is on a mission to increase awareness about preserving our natural environments. Wayne’s astrophotography work is particularly striking and takes advantage of New Mexico’s brilliant dark skies. He is currently partnering with Muench Workshops to offer hands-on experiences for photographers of all levels.
Open Range Photography
Salina Cameron is the woman behind the camera at Open Range Photography and creates fine art landscape and nature imagery for her clients. She selected the name “Open Range” as it reflects her diverse photography interests, from family portraits to weddings and events. That being said, her work largely focuses on New Mexico - its people and breathtaking landscapes. Salina’s images can be transformed into wall art to grace the home or office, as well as beautifully crafted photo albums.
Bosque Bill
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Bosque Bill spent 18 years living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to New Mexico’s North Valley. He discovered his love of birding in California and has continued his passion in New Mexico through the photographic lens. When talking about the state, he says that he is inspired by the “bosque, dragonflies, the ancient culture, the gorgeous landscapes” and this is immediately reflected in his imagery.
