Top 10 Fashion Photographers in Denver
While Denver might not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of leading fashion photographers, the city has no shortage of talent. This cultural melting pot is home to thriving creative communities where the boundaries of art are being redefined.
In this article, we’ll highlight 10 of the best fashion photographers in Denver and what it is about them that we love!
Catarino Moreno
Catarino Moreno is a passionate fashion photographer who says he is inspired by major fashion magazines and runway shows. He’s driven to create beautiful images that will become “timeless works of fine art” and loves collaborating with creative teams. “A style for every story” is one of his mottos and he makes a point of creating a safe and positive space on all of his shoots. Unsurprisingly, most of Catarino’s work ends up in glossy magazines.

Evens Leandre
Born and raised in New York, Evens Leandre now calls Denver “home” but frequently travels to Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Asia for work. He attributes his drive and success to his time in the military and the work ethic that was passed down from his parents. As an editorial fashion and beauty photographer, he collaborates closely with publications to understand their visions for a project while creating something that is completely his own.
Rebecca Grant
Originally from Brooklyn, Rebecca Grant worked as a teaching and darkroom assistant at the International Center of Photography where she discovered her love for photography and film. She continued her studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011.
Rebecca has garnered a reputation for her crisp lighting and striking details but says that she is constantly challenging herself and refining her style. Her work has been published in “L.A. Confidential”, “U.S. Weekly” and “Denver Life”, to name just a few.
Joe Friend
Based in Denver, Joe Friend is a fashion and advertising photographer who is known for his bold lifestyle and portrait work. He has around a decade of experience behind the camera, during which time he has worked with nationally recognized brands, advertising agencies, and major magazines.
Joe believes that great work is born at the “intersection of the creative process, the human experience, and cultural significance” and is committed to maintaining high morale during shoots. We love his use of bright colors and unique lighting for stunning results.
Kirstin Anne
Kirstin Anne nurtured her passion for fine arts while studying at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and graduated with a BFA in Photography in 2010. Since then, she’s lived and worked throughout the country and now (mostly) calls Denver “home”. Kirstin specializes in beauty and fashion-forward portraits and shoots mostly in a studio for an array of fashion brands. Her style? Bold and bright, with glowing models against largely blank backdrops.
Caroline Miller Photography
Having worked with some of the biggest modeling agencies in Paris, Berlin, and New York, Caroline Miller has well and truly established her reputation as one of the top fashion photographers in Denver. She also works as a creative director and wardrobe stylist, which gives her an insider’s knowledge of what’s required during fashion shoots. Caroline says that she draws inspiration from the “many facets of femininity” and thinks the “crazier the idea the better”.
Emerald Boes Photography
Emerald Boes describes herself as a “conceptual photographer” who specializes in fashion and dark art creation, saying she draws inspiration from “psychology, nightmares, and the subconscious mind”.
In 2016, she graduated with a BFA in Fine Art and Photography from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and she now has around 10 years of experience in the industry. While Emerald predominantly shoots fashion-focused portraits, she also does product and real estate photography.
Alec Tremaine
Alec Tremaine began his photographic journey at a young age while “borrowing” his mom’s Minolta camera and has worked as a model with Wilhelmina and Elite Miami since. As a result of this experience, he has a deep understanding of what is required both behind and in front of the camera during fashion shoots. Alec is experienced in both in-studio sessions and large-scale on-location productions, as well as shooting personal headshots for a diverse range of clients.
Jeff Nelson
After years of traveling the world as a sponsored snowboarder, Jeff Nelson is now based in Denver where he works as a fashion, commercial and editorial photographer. He has collaborated with big-name clients that include HBO, The North Face, and Microsoft, as well as being published in the “New York Post”, “Outside Magazine” and “Yoga Journal”. On his approach to photography, Jeff says: “I put my heart and soul into everything I do, I am always striving to be my best self.”
Blake Jackson
Not only is Blake Jackson a self-taught photographer but a director, activist, social media specialist, and brand consultant. He’s garnered a reputation for his moody portraits and surreal fashion shots, as well as having photographed some of the biggest artists on the globe. We love the film-like quality to much of his work, which is undeniably artistic. A career highlight has been shooting the ESPN Cover Story of the UFC superstar Kamaru Usman.
